The jaboticaba is a purplish-black skinned fruit with a sweet, white or rosy pink flesh. The fruit has claims to some powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds which have been linked to fighting cancer. We’re not sure about this. We just know we love the flavor! Perfect for jams.
Common in Brazilian markets, jaboticabas are usually eaten fresh, due to the short shelf life of the fruit. We love its distinct, unique flavor and thought it would be a great addition to our jam collection. No high fructose corn syrup or preservatives, just all natural goodness.
